hi there! Lou was started by Jack and Erin - we come from backgrounds in regenerative agriculture, art, and outdoor education.
The intersection of these worlds is what inspires us to make high quality herbal products and objects designed to bring craft and enjoyment into your little homes.
Lou was named Erins Great Great Grandmother Louisa and her ranch, The Anna Lou Apple Ranch that was located in Julian, California in the 1800's.

We believe that everything we participate in - is agricultural.
We apply this lens to the way we produce products, source raw ingredients, and manage our ( tiny tiny ) business.
Our body care is poured by hand ( by us ) our herbs and oils we formulate with are sourced from small, organic farms. And we grow many of the herbs we formulate with ourselves.
We source with attention to biodiversity, and soil system health.
Lou is committed to creating mineral rich herbal products made with organic and regeneratively grown material to produce the most nutrient dense products that can support your skin and time spent outside while supporting better soil systems on earth.
